FAMILY FARMHOUSE
WINCHELSEA
Working on Listed Properties requires attention to every last detail. The brief for this project was to remove the unsympathetic old outhouse and extend seamlessly to create a modern and spacious farmhouse kitchen. Our goal was to make it look like the new extension had always been there, and we think we did just that.

As part of the Listed Building requirements, the extension had to be seamless with the existing house.

Several brickwork and mortar mixes were tried before finding a match we were happy with.

Bespoke clay roof tiles were commissioned to match the original Kent pegs
The original brickwork was re-pointed and windows re-painted to create a seamless extension from old to new.

The interior was then fitted out with a spacious farmhouse kitchen to suit the style of the house – but the true pride in this build was the seamless exterior.
